Crown Street 3 Lakes Hotel now The Trout offers afternoon teas and dinners. The building on the right of Lakes Hotel was the school clinic, the centre building was Dr Abraham of the Keswick climbing family, with the building nearest the Lakes Hotel before all three buildings became The Trout Hotel. c 1950
Crown Street. On the right the furthest building was the Lakes Hotel, now part of the Trout Hotel. The centre tall building was Dr Abraham GP, who lived there with his surgery behind. To the right the building was the dental and health clinic where the school dentist worked. Note the bricks around the windows are WW2 protection from bomb blasts. On the left is the gable end of the Wordsworth Hotel on the corner of Sullart Street. Other photos show this being demolished to widen the road, and in its place is the Wordsworth statue pointing to Wordsworth House on the right. Low Sand Lane on right. c 1940
28 Crown Street was originally the Railway Hotel because it was nearest to the railway that ended where Lakes Home Centre is before a new branch went above Cockermouth, past the Fitz and through the new Sidings housing development. Note Tolson Garage and Kingfisher pub sign in distance.

Crown Street 2 flood and Low Sand Lane now part of Trout Hotel plaque is for Fearon Fallows house was former school dentists. May be 1931, 1932 or 1938 flood.
Crown Street 12 St Josephs church rooms when the other side of the gable had the advert for Tolson Garage before it was demolished and church room extended the roof line of the lower building on its right. c 1970
Crown Street 12 St Josephs church rooms before wall removed by the road was removed to make the car parking area. The taller building that faced the viewer was replaced by a lower building. This tall building was the school and the far end of this building had an advert for Tolson garage. c 1970
